Welcome to Lyharr Gundogs

We are based in Grinton, Swaledale, where we live and breed Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizslas and Black Labradors.

We are a family run gundog breeder, relatively small compared to many. We also run a successful and busy boarding kennals in Grinton, North Yorkshire, as well.

We have owned and trained dogs all of our lives, mainly black labs, but we now have a lovely, Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizsla that we will be breeding from in the near future.

We are very spoilt where we live, as we have unlimited access to the grouse moors of Grinton Estate, where we train our dogs. Our land backs onto the river Swale where we do water retrieves, and we have a small wooded area for hunting. In our dogs, we look for strongness and temperament, a good coat, and more importantly, a nice biddable nature.
